In addition to that, a recent update now allows you to stream Google's entire music catalog for free, but there are audio and banner ads. When a big company (Google) concentrates on big things (Auto, TV, Wear), some of the smaller aspects of their design can be overlooked. Just as we saw in Android KitKat, battery percentage information is absent from the status bar. While we were able to enable a hidden setting to show that all-important number in KitKat, you could see why it was never enabled—the white text on the white battery icon made it nearly impossible to read.Even still, we were able to pull down the Quick Settings tiles to see the percentage, but with Android L, that functionality is gone (at least in the developer preview).Today, I'm going to show you how to add battery percentage back on to the status bar, but unlike in KitKat, this percentage color is very visibly gray and easy to read in Android 4.5, or 5.0, whichever it may be. You can enable this feature with ADB commands like we did in KitKat, or you can cut to the chase and use one simple app called Battery Percent for KitKat by Chris Kröger. It says KitKat, but it works all the same on Android L right now. After installing it, open it and check Enable Battery Percent, then restart your device to have the setting take effect. There is no rooting or editing of files required, and the results speak for themselves. You'll now be able to glance at your status bar and see your exact battery percentage. While we wait for our chance to get our hands on Android Lollipop, Google has already released Material Design updates to most of their apps. I love the new direction of the updated UI, but something just seemed to be lacking in tying everything together.That was the case until I came across a new Xposed module from developer ibocharov called Flat Style Colored Bars. Not only does this module change your status bar's color to match the app you're in, like Tinted Status Bar does, but it blends your navigation bar as well.Since this is an Xposed module, you will need to have Xposed Framework installed on your rooted Android device. Step 1: Install Flat Style Colored BarsJust like any other Xposed module, you can download Flat Style Colored Bars from the "Download" section of the Xposed Installer app. Once the download and installation are finished, you will need to reboot your device. There is no need to set anything up after that—the status and navigation bar color changes are applied automatically.

Step 2: Enable Config Buttons (Optional)Flat Style Colored Bars also comes with a way to manually define colors. You will first need to enable "Show config buttons" from the module options in Xposed, (Modules -> Flat Style Colored Bars), then hit the arrow that pops up on the top left of your screen. From that pull out menu, you can tap either "S" or "N" to change the status or navigation bars. All in all, I've found this mod to be fairly seamless in its operation, and haven't had the need to manually adjust colors for any apps. If you have an iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, SE, 7, 7 Plus, 8, 8 Plus, X, XS, XS Max, or XR, you can just say "Hey Siri" followed by your question or command to get an immediate response from Siri — as long as you're connected to either cellular data or a Wi-Fi network.Don't Miss: Make Siri Correctly Recognize & Pronounce Contact Names If you have an older iPhone model, namely a 4s, 5, 5c, 5s, 6, or 6 Plus, you can still use "Hey Siri" to activate Siri without lifting a finger, but you'll need to have your iPhone plugged into a power source such as a computer or wall outlet in addition to being connected to the internet.

After turning on "Hey Siri," you'll be prompted to set it up so that Siri will recognize your voice and how you speak through enunciation, accent, articulation, and other speech characteristics. Note that if you ever disable "Hey Siri," you'll have to repeat this set-up process each time you re-enable it.

Using 'Hey Siri' on Your iPhoneNow all that's left to do is use "Hey Siri" to ask a question or make a command. Just make sure you're connected to the internet either on cellular data or Wi-Fi, otherwise, Siri won't work at all. You can do all of the same cool things you could do before using the Home or Side button shortcut, so the sky's the limit. If you like "Hey Siri" so much that you don't think you'll ever use the Home or Side button shortcut again, you can disable that feature in Siri's settings — but only in iOS 11 and iOS 12. Step 2: Using Hovering ControlsOpening the app will take you to control options, divided into Hover Hold, Slide Once and Slide Twice. If you turn them on, you'll be taken to a list of all the apps that are compatible with the hovering controls. Most of the apps on my Note 2 were compatible. I set Hover Hold to open Instagram and configured Google Maps to open with Slide Once. The Note 2 uses the proximity sensor, so make sure your gestures are up high by the front-facing camera. When you make a gesture, a small pop-up will appear at the bottom of the screen, indicating the app is in the process of opening.
More Features for Root UsersIf you're rooted, you can do even more with Hovering Controls. In addition to the basic controls that stock users get, you can also auto-shoot pictures and videos, unlock your screen, scroll in the browser, and slide between images in your gallery.

How To: Use Sileo to Uninstall Tweaks from Your Jailbroken iPhone

Removing unwanted apps from your iPhone is a straightforward affair — long-press an app's icon, then hit the delete button once it appears. Unfortunately, the same can't be said when it comes to uninstalling tweaks from a jailbroken iPhone, which is a little more tedious to perform.Many tweaks aren't as highly polished as their Apple-sanctioned counterparts, and they can cause buggy performance, along with other issues on your iPhone. Similar to stock iOS apps like Safari and Photos, jailbreak tweaks you've installed through either Cydia or Sileo are embedded into your iPhone's operating system and can't be uninstalled outright. Therefore, you'll need to go through either Cydia or Sileo if you want to remove a tweak from your device.Don't Miss: See Which Jailbreak Tweaks Will Work on Your iPhone If you're using Cydia, check out our guide on uninstalling tweaks in Cydia. For those of you who prefer Sileo over Cydia, open Sileo, and select "Packages" on the bottom to get to the page that lists all the tweaks and apps currently installed on your iPhone. From there, scroll through the alphabetically organized list until you find the target tweak, then tap on it to proceed. Now, tap on "Modify" within the app's Details page, then hit "Uninstall" from the menu prompt that appears. Upon doing so, a "Queued" card will pop up along the bottom containing the package (aka tweak) you want to remove. To wrap up the tweak's removal, either tap or swipe up on the "Queued" card to reveal it in full, then select "Confirm" to proceed with deletion. Sileo will now remove the tweak from your iPhone, so wait a moment for the process to complete, and hit "Restart Springboard" once it's done to complete uninstalling the tweak.The good thing about the "Queue" process is that you can actually queue up multiple tweaks to uninstall at the same time, which would be quicker than doing each individually. After your iPhone resprings, you'll now see that your home screen or Setting app is free of any unwanted or outdated tweaks that may conflict with iOS.
