Nobody likes spam, and that's why email apps continue to vie for your digital attention by boasting about new ways to filter and reduce unsolicited messages. Outlook, an already fantastic client for focusing your cluttered inbox, has now joined in on the action, giving its users new, simple tools to fight against junk mail.Sending sketchy messages to the spam folder is easy in Outlook, as long as you're running at least version 2.45.0 for iPhone or 2.2.88 for Android.From your main inbox or another folder, simply tap and hold on the email in question, then select any and all other spammy correspondences. Whether you have one shady message or 50 selected, either tap the three-dot icon in the top right and tap "Move to spam" (for Android users) or tap the folder/arrow icon at the bottom and tap "Spam" (for iOS users).Don't Miss: Outlook Tips & Tricks You Need to Know You can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that your inbox is free of whatever junk mail you just purged. How to Wave to Unlock Your GS3MagicUnlock is a free Android app that allows you to unlock your smartphone or tablet simply by waving your hand from left to right in front of the screen. It uses the proximity sensor to detect when your hand is over the device, and once it senses your hand, the screen will be unlocked.It's similar to Air Call-Accept feature on the Samsung Galaxy S4, and an app called Air Call Answer that mimics that feature for all Android phones, but instead of answering phone calls, MagicUnlock is strictly for unlocking the screen.
Why Is This Needed?Well, imagine you're cooking and have grease all over your hands. You need to read the next step in your recipe on your GS3, but the screen just timed out. Instead of wiping off your hands, hitting the Home button, and swiping to unlock, just tap the Home key with your elbow (or nose or whatever) and wave your greasy (but hopefully non-dripping) hand over the screen to unlock and read the next step.

Step 1: Download & InstallDownload and install the free MagicUnlock app from Google Play.

Step 2: Enable MagicUnlockWhen you open MagicUnlock, tap the red Off button to toggle it On. You'll also need to disable your lockscreen security in order for it to work, but we'll get to that in a minute.

Step 3: Select Your PriorityYou can choose between Low, Medium, and High Priority. None of these settings should drain your battery too much, but the options are there if you want them. I went ahead and selected High, which is the most responsive and always runs in the background. Medium, the recommended setting, runs in the background when enough memory is available.

Step 4: Turn Off Lock Screen SecurityIn order for the app to work properly, you'll need to turn off any security measures you have on your lockscreen (PIN, pattern, password, etc.). If you have a password, PIN, or pattern lock enabled, you can turn it off by going to Settings -> Lock screen -> Screen lock, enter your code or pattern, click Next, and then set your security to Swipe.Note: It does say to disable security, but be sure to choose Swipe, not None. The lock screen needs to be enabled in order for you to actually unlock it.
Step 5: Become a MagicianNow that you have everything set up, go to the lock screen and swipe your hand from left to right over your display to make the screen "magically" unlock.The only downside to this app is that your display has to already be on in order for it to work. Otherwise, the proximity sensors won't pick up your movement. No matter what you need your data for (email, Instagram, Waze, Netflix, etc.), it's always good to know exactly how much data you are using during the month if you're not on an unlimited data plan.

Using the Default iPhone OptionWhile you can login to your cellular provider's website to view your current data usage, there's an easier way built right into your iPhone. Step 1: Select Your Data PlanOnce you've downloaded My Data Manager, you will need to enter in the type of data plan you have: Individual or Shared.

Shared PlanIf you create a Shared Plan, then you will need to enter a name which will identify you within the group you are sharing your plan with, and you will need to invite them to use the app, too. The other plan members will need to join the Shared Plan after they've downloaded the app. Each user can view their own data usage and see how it effects the group's limit, an extremely important feature that the default iOS option does not provide.

Individual PlanFor individual users, you can simply select your plan type, select when the billing cycle begins, and add data already consumed (you can check this using the default Cellular Data Usage option explained above).

Step 2: Adding or Declining LocationI don't like letting any app other than Google Maps and Waze have access to my location, so I understand the reluctance that you may have giving Data Manager that kind of access. Will the application work if you do not allow access to your location? Yes, it will definitely work, but you will be missing out on some good features and also may receive less accurate data information according to the developer.Providing your location allows the app to monitor any roaming fees you may incur and also can show you how much data or Wi-Fi you use or have used at a certain location. That's a pretty nifty feature. You can compare your data consumption at work versus home and change your habits to decrease your bill.

Step 3: Viewing Your Data UsageThe best thing about this application is the easy-to-consume data summaries and graphs. Here is where you can see how much data, Wi-Fi, and roaming you have used on a given day or month, and monitor how close you are to the limit. Both can be accessed by tapping on the menu icon (top left) and selecting your option from the list. Use the tabs at the bottom of the screen to change the graph parameters and tap on the clock icon (top-right) to change the time period you wish to see.

Step 4: Setting Up AlarmsHowever, none of the above information helps you out if you forget to check it. To safeguard yourself from this, you can set up data alarms that will go off if you reach a certain limit in usage. This works similar to how your cellular provider would text you when you reached a certain threshold (which has serious lag issues in my experience), but My Data Manager's alarms are instantaneous. You can enter up to two alarms and a daily alarm. Just enter in your limit (in MB or GB) and that's it. There is an automatic alarm which will trigger on its own when the app believes you are nearing a predefined limit.

Additional Features AvailableThere are a few additional features in My Data Manager, like a dark theme and other location features, but the bulk of its usefulness has been laid out above. All in all, I find the app to be super useful and pretty darn good looking. If you're looking for more than just the number of megabytes or gigabytes that you've used, then this is an app for you.

Step 1: Access the iMessage Profile SettingsThere are two ways to access the options for your profile picture and name on iMessage — either through the Settings app or within the Messages app itself.For the Settings approach, select "Messages," then "Share Name and Photo." To set a profile within Messages, tap on the new ellipsis (•••) button at the top of the conversations view, then select "Edit Name and Photo" on the action sheet that appears at the bottom. Use Animoji or Memoji: Choose an Animoji or Memoji from the list under Animoji, strike a pose, snap your expression, follow the on-screen prompts to center and scale the image, hit "Choose," then select a background color. Note: if you came from the Settings app, you can only choose Animoji, not Memoji. Take New Memoji: Select the plus (+) button under Animoji to create a new Memoji. It's just like making a Memoji the regular way, but iOS 13 has more customization options than iOS 12 and under. Note: if you came from the Settings app, you cannot create new Memojis — it's available only from the Messages app. If you set a new or old photo for your profile, you can tap on it, just like when editing the old photo that was there, to get the "Edit Color" option to apply vivid filters. Also, if you set an Animoji or Memoji, you can tap it to bring up the "Edit Color" option to change the background shade. When completely done, hit "Done" in the upper right to save your profile image. If you're not satisfied, you can always back out with "Cancel." Changing a profile picture from the Settings app.

Step 4: Share Your iMessage Display Name & Profile PictureOnce you've changed both your display name and image, be sure to tap the toggle next to "Share Name and Photo" to turn it on, if not already enabled. By default, it's disabled. Besides that, select how you want your image and name automatically shared in the Share Automatically section.By default, "Anyone" is selected, so everyone who has iMessage will see your profile information. If you only want to share it with people in your Contacts list, check "Contacts Only" instead. The third option, "Always Ask," will display a permissions prompt within each conversation's thread, where you can select "Share" or hit the (x) to keep it hidden. Hit "Done" to exit the settings when ready. Android Lollipop promises tons of new features and functionality when it comes to a device near you, but as we wait, it's almost painful to see the screenshots and demo videos from Nexus devices and how downright pretty the new operating system looks.If you're still stuck with Android 4.3 or 4.4 for now, take solace in the fact that unlike 5.0, these versions are still compatible with the Xposed Framework. To help tide you over, developer Igor Bocharov has come up with a new module that will allow you to theme your device's status bar icons in the new Lollipop style, and he even threw in a few other themes for good measure. Step 1: Enable Beta Modules in XposedBocharov's new module is still in its beta testing phases, but it works like a charm nonetheless. You'll have to enable an option in the Xposed Installer app to install it, though, so head to the settings menu. From here, tap the Versions to be shown entry, then set it to "Beta."

Step 2: Install Flat Style Bar IndicatorsNext, head back out to the Xposed Installer's main menu, then go to the "Download" section. From here, search Flat Style Bar Indicators and tap the top result. From here, swipe over to the Versions tab, then hit the "Download" button next to the most recent entry. After a few seconds, Android's installer interface should come right up. Tap "Install" on this screen. When that's finished, you'll get a notification from Xposed. Tap the "Activate and reboot" button on this notification to get the new module up and running.

Step 3: Customize Your Status Bar IconsWhen you get back up, go ahead and open Flat Style Bar Icons from your app drawer. The module is capable of theming three different status bar icons—Wi-Fi, Battery, and Data. Select one to begin. The module is capable of pinning your icons to the left side of the status bar. If you don't want this, deselect the "Show on left side" option. Next, select an icon style. There are four free options to choose from with the Lollipop style being first, and several more themes can be unlocked with an in-app purchase of $0.99. After that, a menu will appear beneath the selected icon. Use the "Parameters" section to adjust the width and height of your icon, then use the "Parts Parameters" section to adjust the increments or steps within your icon. After that, repeat this same process for the other two status bar icons, and you'll be all set. Which icon theme did you go with? The debate between physical and virtual navigation buttons and their respective benefits has been going on for a few years now. It looks to finally be settled, with the Samsung Galaxy S5 being the only current-generation flagship Android phone that has yet make the switch to on-screen buttons.The main draw to virtual navigation buttons is their flexibility. When a keyboard is in use, the back button becomes a down-arrow, for instance. And many root apps have been made that can tweak the look and functionality of these buttons.None have taken the tweaking of these buttons quite as far as Xtended NavBar from FBarrosoApps. The Xposed module lets you add extra "pages" to your navigation bar that can be accessed by a simple swipe gesture from any screen. Much like the manner in which you can swipe between home screens on a launcher, you can now swipe between buttons on the bottom of your screen. Please enable JavaScript to watch this video.

Step 1: Install Xtended NavBarFBarroso's app is available for free on Google Play. Just use your phone's Play Store app to install Xtended NavBar from this link. The app provides a quick button for just this purpose, so tap Reboot Device to bring your changes up to date.

Step 3: Using Xtended NavBarTo see the other "pages" of navigation buttons, simply swipe in from the edge of the screen. The trigger area is roughly comprised of the first half-centimeter of each side. The switching animation is very smooth, and since the icons used are system ones, the overall feeling of the functionality is one of system-level integration.I personally think it's a great module, and hope to see more features added in the future.
